Always wearing black in her adult life, Lipstick was a way of adding colour to outfits every morning/evening, however applying the incorrect shade of lipstick to an already made-up face was (in her eyes) too much hassle. Removing the lipstick caused her skin to stain from the heavy pigmentation, and reapplying the foundation to the mouth area after already applying it just seemed like a waste of time. There has got to be a better way. There wasn’t. So she invented one.

Then COVID happened, and all lipstick testers were removed from shelves, making it impossible to try any lipsticks on your individual skin. And lets not get started with the bacteria on those things! Why would you want that on your skin.

Sitting on her floor in her New York city bedroom, during a global pandemic and having only lived in NYC for 7 months - Jovanka locked in and got to work.

Jovanka holds patents globally for her invention, with L.Y.P.P.S now gearing up to become the first Global lip brand - focusing solely on developing innovative products and technologies, for lips and lip related products. She has invented a movement. People and Planet before profit. The drive is to completely remove plastic from the lipstick landscape, and give back to organizations and charities through sales profits.

By connecting deeply with the world around her, Jovanka intricately weaves her intuition into the design experience, acting as a conduit between the seen and unseen worlds.
